A little order for an anime collection
QMInventory’s anime-focused rebuild emphasizes inspectable rules and reviewing filenames before making changes.
An anime collection can carry a surprising amount of naming complexity: seasons, specials, and episode numbering that do not fit neatly into one pattern. QMInventory is being rebuilt around that problem.
The October update puts anime organization at the center of the experience, with inspectable episode rules and a preview-before-apply approach to renaming. The point is to make proposed changes understandable before they touch a library.
The website provides the project workspace and demonstration, while the desktop workflow is where local-file operations belong. Media stays local in that workflow; visiting the website is not the same as giving it access to a drive. The intended outcome is a collection that works more predictably with media servers such as Plex and Jellyfin.
