A closer connection: what’s new in My People Here
A refreshed family workspace, clearer tree navigation, and more deliberate sign-in flows. A look at the October 1 development update.
A family network should make it easier to find your people and stay connected. The October 1 development update to My People Here brings a refreshed family experience and improvements to the flows that help people get into their accounts and explore their family trees.
A clearer home for your family
The update refreshes the landing page, signed-in family pages, and shared navigation. A new set of people cards presents family members with dates, connection counts, and actions to view a person, find them in the tree, or edit their information when permitted.
The tree workspace also received dedicated styling, bringing the family list and tree exploration into a more coherent experience.
More deliberate sign-in behavior
The authentication work includes refreshed login, signup, and password-recovery pages, plus a dedicated reset-password page. Return paths are checked to keep authentication redirects on the same site.
The commit also adds tests for remembered and temporary sessions. These cover keeping temporary sessions in session storage, persisting remembered sessions, and clearing stored sessions on sign-out.
