Aloud: development update · 2026-10-05

Aloud continues to bring together photos, personal stories, and optional voice introductions for adults exploring nearby connections or pen pals in the public beta. This week’s improvements focus on how the app handles data on Android: managed cloud backups and device-transfer backups are disabled, so Aloud data isn’t carried over through those backup options.

Work also addressed issues in supporting components that help the app operate safely. There are no new discovery features to announce this week.
