Photos, stories, and more ways to discover someone
Aloud’s beta is taking shape around story-led profiles, nearby and pen-pal discovery, and more deliberate guest access.
A good introduction takes more than a profile photo. Aloud brings photos together with story prompts and optional voice introductions, giving people more ways to express who they are before a conversation begins. The beta is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
The September development work refreshed the public website and the photo-and-story discovery experience. It also added separate nearby and pen-pal discovery paths across the web and mobile code, so connection does not have to mean the same thing to everyone.
Guest access and a membership preview received attention too. These changes help shape the boundary between trying the experience and participating with an account. Aloud remains a beta; this update describes the product and code changes rather than announcing an app-store release.
